I am humbled to have been chosen as the winner of the Beauty Award (Best Make-up Artist category) at the Kent Wedding Awards 2019 and achieved The Make-up Artist of the Year Silver Award at the Kent Health and Beauty Awards 2019. In 2018 I was a finalist at The Kent Women In Business Awards (Service Excellence Category)
My passion for the art of makeup and beauty started many years ago when, as a young theatrical performer, I was introduced to stage and commercial makeup.
I originally trained at the Bird College of Theatre Arts. My three-year course included studies in a variety of makeup applications.
I have worked extensively as a performer in London’s West End theatre and in production shows around the world and have also, in the past, worked as a model which has helped me to understand the positioning of the subject for better portraiture.
What drives me is my desire to use my creative talents to do something worthwhile. I’m convinced I have the loveliest job in the world and believe that every bride is beautiful and deserves to look no less than perfect on their wedding day.
I believe in quality over quantity, my work is neat and I never cut corners. I can create a variety of different styles whether classic, natural, soft glamour or vintage and I instinctively know what colours work best for each client. When creating a makeup, I consider the theme, wedding dress, hairstyle, floral colours, bridesmaid’s dresses and venue ambience. The more I know about the wedding, the more the makeup will harmonise with your vision.
I believe makeup should enhance and not mask by using subtle corrective techniques and the perfect colour palette to highlight your best features. I use premium brands for their flawless finishes, longevity and gorgeous picture perfect results. My signature style is one of natural, sophisticated soft glamour.
I’m interested in how current trends shape bridal preferences and understand that it is essential, no matter how experienced, to continue training.
I regularly attend master classes. Last year’s training focused on Colour Theory, Shape and Proportion, Anti Ageing and Corrective Techniques, Portrait Photography and Individual Lash application.
