DEFINITIONS

The Client: The recipient of the service

The Make-up Artist: Elizabeth Joseph-Love Makeup Artist

The Agreement: The agreement between the Client and the Make-up Artist, confirmed by e-mail, for provision of the service

The Fee: The amount payable by the Client to the Make-up Artist for the service in the Agreement

The Event: The occasion for which the service has been agreed

The Party: Persons in addition to the Client requiring services at the Event

Event bookings are secured upon receipt of a £55, non-refundable booking fee. This confirms the Agreement and secures my availability for the Event on the agreed date and time for the agreed Fee. Please be advised that Elizabeth cannot hold any bookings without the booking Fee being paid.

The £55, non-refundable booking Fee is deducted from the final Fee due. Enquiries for which a booking Fee has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore availability cannot be guaranteed and an Agreement is not formally in place.

Trial appointments are not set in stone and may be moved as wedding bookings take priority; The time of the trial appointment may be changed or an alternative date will be found.

The Fee is always agreed via e-mail; verbal agreements are not offered as they are not deemed valid by the Make-up Artist.

The Make-up Artist reserves the right to cancel special offers and rates at any time if numbers agreed for the makeup decreases.

NUMBERS

Discounts are only offered on numbers exceeding 5 x adult clients (including the bride). Discounts exclude travel or lashes Please note: Any discount will only apply at the time of booking and will not be applied to any changes.

Elizabeth has a minimum booking price of £250 for all wedding bookings. A surcharge will apply if the listed price is less than £250 (excludes lashes & mileage). Bookings must be above the minimum booking price or the total cost made up to the equivalent amount.

TRAVEL EXPENSES

Additional travel expenses are incurred outside 10 miles of the postcode DA3 to the venue where the service is to take place at a rate of 60p for every mile, this is based on the return journey.

For Central London please add a £150 surcharge. All parking, congestion or toll charges will be billed to the client.

Distances are calculated using an on-line journey planner and travel expenses will be agreed between the Make-up Artist and Client as part of the Agreement.

If required, alternative methods of transport other than motor vehicle, such as rail or flight will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process and charged to the client.

TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS OUTSIDE OF THE MAINLAND UK

Travel expenses are incurred for services booked outside of the mainland UK, they are as follows:

Travel expenses to and/or parking at a train station, airport or port where Elizabeth and her team member(s) will be travelling from. If the journey to the train station, airport or port is by car then 55p for every mile outside of a 10-mile road distance from DA3 is charged for Elizabeth and all team members and is based on the return journey

Return rail tickets, flights and/or boat tickets for all team member(s) booked from/to convenient train stations, airports and/or ports. Elizabeth will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option;

All additional travel required at the destination related to provision of services at the Event. Road distances are calculated using an online journey planner and travel expenses will be agreed between Elizabeth and the Client as part of the Agreement.

ACCOMMODATION & SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS WITHIN THE MAINLAND UK

For Elizabeth and any member of the team accommodation expenses are incurred for services provided within the mainland UK for bookings that are to start prior to 6am at a location over 55 miles road distance from DA3. This will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.

£50 will be charged for subsistence per team member for every 24 hours spent away from home for a booking.

Elizabeth will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option.

ACCOMMODATION & SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS OUTSIDE OF THE MAINLAND UK

For bookings outside of the mainland UK accommodation expenses within the mainland UK will be charged for trains, flights or boats leaving the mainland UK prior to 8am from a train station, airport or port over 55 miles from DA3 or any member of the team.

Additional accommodation expenses at the destination of the Event may also be incurred however all accommodation expenses will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.

ACCOMMODATION EXPENSES

For all bookings outside of the UK accommodation charges will be incurred, this will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.

Sunday and Bank Holidays

A 20% surcharge will be added to the sub-total fee (minus travel & lashes) for any bookings that take place on Bank Holiday

PAYMENT

Full payment of the balance of the Fee is required 4 weeks before the Event, if the Event is less than 1 week away, full payment is required to secure the booking.

Payment can be accepted in cash or by bank transfer.

For booking fee payments by bank transfer, the booking is only confirmed once the bank transfer has cleared in the Make-up Artist’s bank account.

The £25 booking fee is not part of the total cost of the services. It is a one off payment that is non-refundable and is not relinquished from the final balance. The booking fee is charged for ‘Work Done’ i.e. time allocated to implement the booking and correspond with the client.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are available as e-vouchers sent via email or as a physical gift voucher and must be purchased and paid in full from the prices page of Elizabeth’s website. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and are not transferable.

Gift vouchers are only refundable if cancelled via email sent to elizabethjosephlovemua@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase. Refunds will be issued within 7 days of receipt of cancellation.

Bookings for gift voucher services are to be made via email to elizabethjosephlovemua@gmail.com and will be confirmed via email.

Once a date has been reserved for the gift voucher service, it can only be amended once and the amendment must be received via email to elizabethjosephlovemua@gmail.com at least 2 weeks before the start of the service, otherwise the gift voucher is deemed null and void.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

It is the Client’s responsibility to inform the Make-up Artist of any potential issues such as but not limited to medical conditions, allergies and/or sensitivities.

The Make-up Artist cannot be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the Client if the Client has not informed the Make-up Artist of any known conditions as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to the Client at the time of the service.

The Make-up Artist reserves the right to cancel the Agreement if the behaviour of the Client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the Client reports a condition that the Make-up Artist deems a risk to the Client or Makeup Artist’s health and wellbeing. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the Client for the service are non-refundable.

MAKE-UP ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES

The Make-up Artist will always endeavour to honour the Agreement to the best of her ability.

There may be circumstances beyond the control of the Make-up Artist, for example illness, delay or otherwise unavailability, sometimes at short notice. In such a case the Make-up Artist will inform the Client at the earliest opportunity.

CANCELLATIONS

Payments that have already been made to the Make-up Artist for a wedding Event that is subsequently cancelled less than 12 weeks before the Event will be retained.

Cancellations received less than 48 hours before a non-wedding Event will incur the full Fee for the service.

Cancellations are only valid via email, verbal cancellations are not accepted as they are not deemed valid by the Make-up Artist.

POSTPONEMENTS DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS

If appointments have to be postponed due to Coronavirus restrictions, I will endeavour to honour your new date (subject to availability) the booking fee is non-refundable.

PHOTOGRAPHY & USE OF IMAGES

Photographic/video images of the Client, Party and/or Event may be used by the Make-up Artist in promotional material including social media unless the Client has expressly withdrawn their consent in writing.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT DETAILS

Maximum time allocation for trials: the maximum time that Elizabeth can spend on any one trial is 3 hours for makeup. Any additional time will be charged at £50 per hour. Trials are offered for wedding bookings only. For other events a trial will be offered only within a 10 mile radius of DA3.

Repeat trials: If a second makeup trial is requested the same fee applies as for the first trial.

Additional make-up artists at Elizabeth’s bookings will only be present at Elizabeth’s invitation if there is a time constraint and it is not possible for her to provide the makeup for the Party.

Makeup services for younger members of the Party: Makeup services for members of the Party who are aged 5 to 12 years old are priced at £15 and will only include blemish/redness reduction, a light brow powder, shimmery eyeshadow, blusher and lip gloss application. If a more complete makeup service is required, the full bridesmaid’s price will apply.

Assistants: If the start time for a booking is amended to be later than in the initial Agreement, however the finish time is to remain the same; or if a booking is requested for Elizabeth but is deemed by her not to be possible for one person due to time constraints, an assistant to the makeup artist can be booked for an additional £50 in addition to the agreed fee.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BY SECURING A BOOKING AND/OR PURCHASING A GIFT VOUCHER THE CLIENT ACCEPTS THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
