Q. I'm getting married what shall I do about my bridal makeup?

Congratulations! Contact Elizabeth for an informal, friendly chat to discuss your requirements (wedding date, times, location, trial date, skin type, your desired bridal look and how many people in your wedding party need makeup) Once the bridal trial date is set, I will open a personalised bridal folder.

Q. What happens at the trial?

The trial will be held at your home or a convenient location of your choice in daylight. The trial will last 1 ½ to 3 hours depending on your individual requirements. If you are particular about certain aspects of your own makeup, then please be wearing your makeup when I arrive, so I can understand exactly which aspects you would like me to replicate. If, however, you are happy for me to create a personalised look, then please be bare faced when I arrive. It is also quite beneficial to be wearing either an old white or light coloured top to mimic and reflect light as your dress would. At the trial you must let me know if you are planning to make any changes to your look before your wedding (i.e. sun beds, spray tanning, semi-permanent lashes, tattoos, hair style changes) I will then apply your makeup in stages, building up to the final desired look. I will then take photographs and record all details so the look can be re-created on your wedding day.

Q. How many people can Elizabeth accommodate in my bridal party?

Allow 45mins to 1 hour per person, so as many as time allows. It is quite normal for me to arrive very early to a location on the day of the wedding.

Q. What happens on my wedding day?

I will arrive at the agreed time and check that everything is running to schedule. I will then carry out the required services. It is nice to have ½ an hour to completely relax before the ceremony. I will make sure your head bridesmaid is in charge of carrying tissues, blotting paper, sheer powder, blush and lipstick/gloss.

Q. Will Elizabeth stay for the whole ceremony to apply touch ups and evening make up.

Yes, if it is required. I can remain with the wedding party to do touch ups and evening make up, if this is required. A fee will be discussed at the trial.

Q. How long will it take on my Wedding Day?

On your Wedding Day allow 45 mins to 1 hour per person, depending on what is required. It may be that you require less or more time. Individual time requirements will be discussed at your trial.

Q. What type of make-up will Elizabeth use?

The highest quality products including Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Mac, Nars, YSL, Chanel, Laura Mercier, benefit and Dior, along with other industry professional makeup. I will choose products that are suitable for your skin colour and texture.

Q. Can I have my trial within two weeks of my wedding day?

Yes of course, this is fine. However, if the trial takes place within 2 weeks of the wedding date then the balance must be paid in full at the time of the trial.

Q. Once booked what other contact will I have?

I understand how important it is for you to look perfect and be stress free on your big day. So, please, feel free to contact me with any further questions you might have. Q. Is it possible to have my trial & my wedding day makeup done at different locations & do you come to hotels?

Yes, often brides live at a different address to their parents (or place that they are getting married from) and although I prefer to do the trial at the address to be used on the big day, it's not essential. Alternatively, brides often like to stay the night before at the hotel in which they are getting married and so, again, it is quite usual for me to meet you there on the morning to do the make-up for the bridal party.

Q. What if I don't know what I want or don't like what you do?

I suggest you look through lots of magazines and select images of bridal makeup examples you like, then we will go through them together and discuss what is suitable for you. The colour of your dress plus wedding colour choices and floral colour themes must all be taken into consideration when deciding on your makeup. Alternatively, if you haven't seen anything you like, together, we can achieve a look you're happy with! In the extremely unlikely event that you don't like your make-up you MUST say. I won't be offended and will be more than happy to try other looks and stay with you until you are happy and comfortable with your final look.

Q. How far will you travel?

I work mainly in Kent and the surrounding areas, but I will travel further if it is required, as well as occasionally catching a flight to attend to clients requiring my services abroad. After 10 miles travelled I charge 45p per mile per round trip. Any additional charges i.e. congestion charge or parking will be charged to the client.

Q. What if I have to cancel?

Regardless of why there is a cancellation, I offer my sincerest sympathies. Due to my service being operated in a business capacity, unfortunately if you cancel the trial, your trial payment will be lost.
You have 7 days in which to decide whether or not you would like to book the service. After 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable. If you decide within 7 days, after the trial to cancel the service, the deposit will be refunded in full.
Payments that have already been made to Elizabeth for a wedding Event that is subsequently cancelled less than 12 weeks before the Event will be retained.
Cancellations received less than 24 hours before a non-wedding Event will incur the full Fee for the service.
Cancellations are only valid via e-mail.

Q. What happens if you cancel?

In the extremely unlikely event that I am unable to make your appointment, due to a personal emergency or serious illness, a full refund will be made to the client.
In the unlikely event of an accident, inclement weather conditions or an act of God affecting my ability to attend on your wedding day, a full refund will be issued.

Q. When am I required to settle my bill in full for your services?

Four weeks before your wedding day.
