The Kent Wedding Awards 2019
I won! What can I say but wow! At a prestigious event on 15th November 2018 at the Great Danes hotel in Maidstone, I was announced at the Kent wedding awards as the winner of the 2019 beauty award (best makeup artist)
The Kent Wedding Awards hosted such a fantastic evening. I had so much fun celebrating with my good friends from the My Wedding Professionals team and it was fabulous to catch up with so many talented industry professionals.
During the dinner, in my head, I had been negotiating the walk in my high heels through the crowded room and up onto the stage; just in case I won, but I was totally taken aback when my name was called out. Thankfully, when the time came, I managed to make my way down to the stage without a stumble. Phew!
To be recognised as the absolute best at what you do is an amazing accolade and a huge endorsement of quality! It has given my personal confidence a massive boost and has spurred me on to make my business even better! I’ve been overwhelmed with all the well wishes and kind words from my brides, past and present, fellow industry professionals and friends alike.
I can safely say it made every 3 am wakeup call and every midnight admin session worthwhile. Knowing that what I do is valued. My brides really love the fact that they have chosen an award winning MUA for their wedding, as this definitely helps them to be relaxed and confident, knowing that they are in good hands.
The most obvious development so far would have to be the increase in website hits and enquiries that I have already had since the awards. All of that translates into more lovely bookings and my business being firmly on the wedding industry map for another year.
I never take for granted what a privilege it is to help make someone’s wedding day perfect. The delight on my client’s face when they see their completed look is why I do what I do.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank both the Kent Wedding Awards, the judges and A Kentish Ceremony Magazine. Winning this award is a real honour.
Celebrating 2018
2018 has been a fabulous year! I have had the pleasure of creating the makeup for many wonderful weddings and the opportunity to have my work featured and on the front cover of both your Kent wedding magazine and Kent bride magazine.
